Durban Z F1 by Barney's Farm takes the Durban Poison line into a cleaner modern F1 direction rather than turning it into a heavy dessert hybrid. With a listed 70% sativa and 30% indica profile, the variety keeps a taller, more open plant language, while Original Z adds the sweeter fruit and candy edge.
The cross is built from Durban Poison and Original Z, and that pairing explains most of its shape. Durban Poison gives the upright frame, slimmer leaf expression and more breathable branching. Original Z shifts the profile toward sweet citrus, lemon and bright fruit notes without burying the sativa structure underneath too much density.
In the grow room, Durban Z F1 does not behave like a compact cookie-type plant. Barney's describes a semi-open branching pattern, elongated fox-tail flower formation and lime-green flowers that may carry violet streaks from the Z side. The structure gives the plant a different presence from the denser F1 hybrids in the same release group.
