Blue Monkey by Exotic Seed builds differently from strains that put everything into one large central flower. The plant branches more strongly and carries its flowers densely along the stems. That is where its logic sits: not one massive top, but many closely filled zones that add up to weight.
The genetics from Gorilla Glue #4 and a Black Domina x Blueberry selection explain that structure quite well. Gorilla Glue adds resin and a sticky, chemically earthy side, while Black Domina and Blueberry bring more density, darker fruit and a firmer plant body. Exotic Seed has worked the second parent for a long time, which matters more here than a big origin story.
With a 9 week flowering time and an outdoor harvest in October, Blue Monkey stays within a manageable window. The yield is listed at 400 to 450 g per m². That figure should be read more through the even filling of the branches than through a central cola focus.
The plant can benefit from being opened a little. Early positioning of the side branches or a light SCROG approach can fit if there is enough time to fill the area. Toward the end of flowering, support may become useful, because the individual flowers are not described as huge, but together they can put real weight on the branches.
Exotic Seed describes the aromatic side as sweet chemical, with a Gorilla Glue core and a fruit layer from the Blueberry Domina side. In practice, the more important point with Blue Monkey is how resin coverage, branching and flower density work together. It is a strain that is better understood through its plant build than through loud promises.
