Buddha's Sister by Soma Seeds
Buddha's Sister by Soma Seeds belongs to the older Soma shaped lines and was previously known as Soma Skunk V+. This feminized, photoperiod cannabis strain brings together Afghani, Hawaiian Super Skunk and Big Skunk Korean in a plant that is not carried by modern trend naming, but by its branched structure and its own tart cherry aromatic direction.
In growth, Buddha's Sister does not form a rigid block plant. Soma describes it as taller and lankier, with many side branches and a structure that reads better as a multi branch plant. That is where it differs from tightly run Sea of Green lines: it wants to use space, work sideways and should not be reduced to a single main cola.
Flowering sits at around 9 to 10 weeks. The flowers are not extremely hard packed, but built a little looser, which gives the strain useful mould resistance when airflow is kept steady. At the same time, the resin coverage remains clearly visible, with a more oily, silky surface on the ripe flowers.
With a 60 percent indica and 40 percent sativa classification, Buddha's Sister sits between a stable Afghani base and a more mobile Skunk structure. Hydroponic setups are possible, although Soma’s own style is strongly tied to organic soil. The key is less about aggressive cutting and more about guiding the side structure cleanly.
Aromatically, Buddha's Sister moves toward tart cherry, sharp fruit and resinous Skunk depth. It does not read like a new dessert cross, but like an individual Soma line with an older Amsterdam hand: branched, resinous, slightly lanky and clearly different from the compact modern flower blocks of many newer strains.
