Green Gelato by Royal Queen Seeds
Green Gelato does not feel like a cultivar that needs much explaining. Once you look at the way it grows, the direction becomes clear enough. A lot of flower, not much leaf, and tight clusters instead of long running main colas. This is not an airy hybrid, but a plant that switches fairly quickly into density.
Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies pulls exactly that together. Sweetness and pressure, but not softness. Indoors, the variety stays manageable enough, while outdoor plants can take much more room without turning misshapen. The run also stays tight, with around 55 to 65 days of flowering.
The yield matches the structure of the strain. With 500 to 700g/m² indoors and up to 800g per plant outdoors, Green Gelato ranks among the more productive lines in the RQS catalogue. In 2019, it also achieved first place in the “New Strains” category at the Soft Secrets European Plant of the Year awards.
On flavour, it leans sweet, but not in a flat dessert way. There is something baked into it, alongside Kush and forest fruit. That is exactly what keeps Green Gelato steady. Not only sweet, not only modern, but a cultivar with a fairly clear shape and enough weight of its own that it does not have to live on the name alone.
