Guawi Regular by ACE Seeds is a regular variety for growers and breeders looking for a high-performance, clearly sativa-dominant hybrid with an African and Central American axis. Within the ACE catalogue, it holds a special place because it combines an old Malawi Killer with a selected Tikal F5 phenotype, resulting in a line that brings together power, yield, aromatic depth, and long-lasting psychoactive quality in a highly distinctive way.
In cultivation, Guawi shows a medium to large sized, very vigorous, and excellently branched plant development with a clearly sativa-dominant base structure. The line remains highly productive without becoming completely unmanageable, which makes it especially suitable for growers who want to work with true sativa projects while still valuing supportive structure and strong output. It is precisely this balance of vigour, branching, and manageability that makes the regular version especially interesting for selection and breeding work.
With a flowering time of around 11 to 12 weeks, Guawi belongs to the medium-late to later finishing regular sativa hybrids in the ACE range. Yield is considered high. The stated THC range is around 17 to 23 percent, CBD around 0.2 percent, and CBG around 0.6 to 2 percent. The variety is recommended for latitudes from 0º to 43º and shows average-high resistance to spider mites, white fly, cold, and botrytis, together with high heat resistance.
One of the defining traits of Guawi is its clearly developed fruit and resin logic. Aromatically, the line often opens in a spicy and woody direction before moving into more fruit-driven expressions with mango, peach, strawberry, and the characteristic incense/Tikal axis. This is supported by a deep background of resins and oils that makes the variety feel more mature and more complex within the ACE catalogue than simpler fruit-led sativa hybrids.
Its overall effect is equally distinctive. The line is described with a very strong and unusually complex sativa effect: a clearly psychedelic opening, followed by a long, cheerful, at times laugh-filled, and later more relaxing development. It is exactly this combination of Malawi power and Tikal fruit logic that makes the regular version especially attractive for growers and breeders looking not only for high performance, but also for true selection range and highly expressive outcomes.
