Sleepy Joe by Anesia Seeds
Sleepy Joe by Anesia Seeds needs a plant first reading, because the name can easily pull the description into the wrong direction. The cultivar is built around a bushy Indica body, a strong main stem and many side branches that become loaded with glittering buds during flower.
Obama Kush x Nova OG brings together 80 percent Indica and 20 percent Sativa. Obama Kush gives the line its heavier, more closed base, while Nova OG adds stability, resin and compact flower mass. The result is not a long hybrid, but a cultivar with short internal distances, solid stance and clear lateral weight.
Indoors, Sleepy Joe stays low to medium at around 110 to 130 cm, while outdoor plants reach 180 to 230 cm. The many side shoots make the cultivar useful for SOG or calm structural guidance, because the main stem is not the only important point. Keeping the lower areas clean helps the upper and middle flower zones receive more light and close more evenly.
The 8 to 9 week flowering window ends outdoors toward late September. Anesia lists 600 g per square metre indoors and 700 to 1000 g per plant outdoors. The 34 percent THC figure sits close to the heavily frosted bud surface, which can darken into purple or almost black tones depending on expression.
Strawberry and lemon give the cultivar a bright fruit side that breaks up the heavier Indica frame. Once the plant is finished, the stronger memory is the structure itself: compact body, many load bearing branches, dark colour potential, glittering flowers and a Nova OG line that gives Sleepy Joe more shape than the name first suggests.
