Blueberry by Dutch Passion
Blueberry by Dutch Passion is one of those varieties where the cultivar name still carries real genetic weight. It belongs to the Dutch Passion Blue Family and keeps its identity through a compact plant frame, dark berry direction and the older 1970s Blueberry background.
Dutch Passion describes the line as mostly indica, with Afghani Indica supported by Thai and Oaxacan Sativa genetics. That mix gives Blueberry its broad leaf structure and sturdy base, but also explains why the plant can still move during flowering instead of staying completely static.
The plant usually builds with short internodes, strong stems and large fan leaves. Flowers tend to form dense, resinous clusters with a favourable calyx to leaf ratio, which keeps the structure readable once the plant fills in. Under cooler late flower conditions, blue and purple tones can become part of the visual expression.
For indoor cultivation, Dutch Passion gives a flowering time of around 8 to 9 weeks, with possible yields of 350 to 450 g per m² in optimised conditions. Outdoors, Blueberry can become much larger where the season is mild, sunny and stable, but the dense flower build calls for clean air movement and careful climate control.
The aromatic side is still the point that makes Blueberry immediately recognisable. Fresh blueberry, dark fruit sweetness and a softer old school background give the variety a clear place in the catalogue. It does not need a loud modern frame, because the plant already has a distinct line history, a firm body and a flavour direction that has shaped many later crosses.
