Bruce the Russian by Cream of the Crop
Bruce the Russian is not a line that stands out through compact restraint. It tends to build with more height and drive, which gives it a noticeably more open frame than many newer dessert hybrids that finish in a tighter, denser shape.
The genetic base of Bruce Banner and White Russian explains that direction well. A more forceful fruit-and-diesel side meets an older, resin-heavy foundation, giving the line more weight than its name alone would suggest.
Flowering time is usually placed at around 9 to 10 weeks. Outdoors, the harvest window is generally listed around mid-October. Depending on the source, published indoor yields sit near 500 to 550 g/m², while outdoor plants are often placed at up to roughly 600 g per plant.
In practice, it helps not to let the plant simply run upward unchecked. Because of the stronger frame, early branch guidance can make good sense if the goal is to manage height and settle the canopy later on. Light LST or a properly organised net can do more here than late, reactive intervention.
In profile, Bruce the Russian clearly leans toward a fruity direction with a distinct diesel and fuel edge. More important than any single flavour note, though, is the overall expression: more height, plenty of resin, and a stronger hybrid frame defined more by pressure and tension than by soft sweetness.
