Durban by Sensi Seeds
Durban in feminized form does not feel like a delicate sativa that only works under ideal conditions. Its appeal comes from the fact that it carries much of the open and upright Durban direction while remaining tougher and more practical than many growers would expect from such a sativa-heavy line.
The plants grow quickly, yet stay more manageable than many other outdoor sativas. In feminized form especially, that makes for a very direct run: no male plants in the crop, more even development, and a line that still works well when space is not unlimited. With a shorter veg period or some pruning, it can even make good sense in smaller gardens or on a balcony.
At around 90% sativa, the direction remains clear. Durban pushes upward, but in flower it does not run completely out of control. At the same time, it brings enough resilience to stay on track even in cooler conditions or more changeable summers. That is exactly what makes it such an interesting feminized outdoor sativa.
In flower, it shows an unusual mix of sativa form and surprising density. The buds do not stay loose or airy, but come across as comparatively weighty and cohesive for this type of line. Added to that is solid resin production, which gives the variety even more substance.
Durban develops a distinctive sweet base with clear top notes of citrus and aniseed. Darker plants may produce a warmer and earthier aroma during flowering, followed by subtle traces of coffee, sandalwood or chocolate. This profile remains closely connected to the line’s South African heritage.
