Rasol Village regular by Khalifa Genetics
Rasol Village is a true mountain landrace from the remote village of Rasol, high in the Parvati Valley of Himachel Pradesh. This hash-producing landrace has many genotypes, some with high THC content and some with high CBD content. These plants are used to make Rasol Cream, a high quality charas. Connoisseurs will enjoy selecting their favourite phenotype(s).
The famous tourist site passes through the Sikh and Hindu pilgrimage town of Manikaran and ends at Pulga, whose landscape is dominated by the construction of the Parvati Hydroelectric Project, a hydroelectric dam. From Pulga, the trail climbs up to a temple and a small dhaba at the Rudra-Nag waterfall, apparently because of its resemblance to a water snake. Beyond the Rudra-Nag waterfall, the trail continues up through thick pine forests to the spiritual site of Kheerganga, where Shiva is said to have meditated for 3,000 years. The hot springs of Kheerganga are very important to Hindu and Sikh pilgrims, as well as many others who believe its waters have sacred healing properties.
It is a fast flowering variety, compared to other North Indian types, and is suitable for cultivation in all climates. Flowering takes 11-15 weeks and local harvests take place from late September to early November. Plants show very good resistance to cold and mildew, but are sensitive to nutrients, so care must be taken: they are not greedy plants and thrive in poor quality soils. Yields are medium sized.
- Aromas and flavours vary according to phenotype, with menthol, fruity, herbal and spicy flavours predominating.
- The effect is happy and euphoric.
